Who We Are

We are simply a congregation of Christians as described in the New Testament. We believe the Bible to be the Word of God recorded by those inspired by The Holy Spirit and it is all we need in order to know what to do in order to reach the ultimate goal of Heaven. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We speak where the Bible speaks and we remain silent where the Bible is silent.
Salvation is attained by a love for and belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God (John 3:16).
This belief comes from the knowledge of Christ and what he has done for each one of us. To know Christ one must hear the Word (Romans 10:14).
With hearing and believing comes a responsibility to act. The Bible tells us what actions we must take as individuals in order for our sins to be forgiven and for us to be in Christ.
We must repent of our sins. That is to be truly sorry that we have sinned.(2 Corinthians 7:10). Jesus also said that without repentance we would perish (Luke 13:3).
We must also confess our belief in Christ as God's Son(Romans 10:10). This is a public statement of our faith. This is what Jesus was talking about in Matthew 10:32. This is what the eunuch did when Phillip asked him if he believed in Acts 8.
We are also baptized in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit for the remission of sins (Matt 28:19 and Acts 22:12-16 ).
We will reach heaven only after doing these things and remaining faithful in our service to God for the rest of our lives. Jesus, speaking to the church at Laodecia through the apostle John, said to remain faithful even if it meant death and he would give them a crown of life (Revelation 2:10). From this we know that the opposite is true as well. If Christians are not faithful, they will not receive a crown of life.
